81st Anniversary of the Anti-Fascist Victory

May 8, 1945, marks the anniversary of the anti-fascist victory. During World War II, on June 22, 1941, Hitler’s fascist hordes attacked the Soviet Union. Launched with the most advanced weapons of the time and a force of 3.8 million fascists, the attack targeted Moscow, Leningrad, Ukraine, and the Turkic republics, lasting four years. In the defense of their homeland, the heroic Soviet people and the Red Army lost 22 Soviet citizens. Hitler’s hordes, who massacred millions of defenseless Soviet citizens, advanced to the gates of Moscow. Defeated by the heroic resistance of the Soviet people and the Red Army under the leadership of Comrade Stalin, the fascist hordes were pursued by the Red Army all the way to Berlin. From April 30, 1945, the Red Army entered Berlin, and street fighting continued between the fascist forces and the Red Army until May 8, 1945. Hitler, the leader of the fascist forces, committed suicide in his hiding place. On May 8, 1945, the international flag of the working class was raised on the ramparts of Berlin by the Red Army. Panicked by the Red Army’s capture of Berlin, the US and European imperialist powers ended the war.

The 81st anniversary of the Anti-Fascist Victory is not merely a historical remembrance. Our world is experiencing days similar to the Second World War. The US, acting as the gendarme of imperialism, and its collaborators continue to ignite new wars every day. The undeclared Third World War is raging, primarily in the Middle East and former Soviet countries. Weapons and bombs produced by imperialist states using the latest technological advancements are taking the lives of thousands of innocent people daily, while schools, hospitals, bridges, and factories are being destroyed by missiles launched from thousands of kilometers away.

Today, humanity, experiencing the absence of the Soviet Union and the socialist system to its very core, stands defenseless against imperialist savagery… For decades, the unorganized and scattered forces of peace, faced with the ideological assault produced in imperialist thought centers, have been insufficient in calling the masses to struggle against war.

Our lives have once again shown that without the leadership of the working class, a struggle without war, borders, classes, and exploitation cannot be waged. A struggle that does not take up the weapon of Marxism-Leninism is doomed to failure from the outset.

Long live the international struggle and solidarity of the working class!

Long live Marxism-Leninism!
